So if you’re at New York City Comic Con stop by and see Erik! He’s at Q18 and sketchin’ up a storm from the looks of it. Of course if you’re NOT at NYCC don’t despair. He’s generally pretty good about posting these gems to his facebook sketch gallery. WHICH YOU CAN FIND HERE. Take for instance this gem! Looks like a certain alien we all know is vacationing in a galaxy far far away. We know for sure he tends to shoot first so thankfully no disputes there.
Coming right out of New York Comic Con comes the news that Erik Larsen and fellow image founder Todd McFarlane will be teaming up on an arc of Spawn! Slated to last 4 or 5 issues with Larsen penciling and McFarlane inking, the results are pretty interesting already from what little we’ve seen. There’s much more details on the NEWS LINK HERE: Pretty interesting stuff. Spawn is the OTHER long lived Image Book (aside from Savage Dragon). That alone makes it kind of a neat collaboration. While I’m not a spawn fan I’ll definitely be picking up Erik’s run.
Erik Larsen will be attending two conventions on the east coast of the United States this year.
His first will be at the Baltimore Comic-Con in Maryland on September 8th and 9th. Tickets and more information can be obtained at the Baltimore Comic-Con website: http://baltimorecomiccon.com
About a month later, Erik will be appearing at the New York Comic Con which is taking place from October 11th through the 14th. Tickets and more information can be obtained at the New York Comic Con website: http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com
